Vision of Hope

A Message from Ann Magovern

Dear Friends,

This year we celebrate 20 years of making miracles, which began with the historic 1995 vote by the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose to ensure the future of eight Catholic elementary schools serving students in urban neighborhoods of Los Angeles, San Francisco and Oakland.

Through your support, financial generosity, prayers, and faithful belief in Catholic education, Vision of Hope has become a leader in funding Catholic education for underserved and low-income children and their families.

Over the last two decades, Vision of Hope has been directed by Sister John Martin Fixa, O.P., who with her contagious passion, generous heart and incredible love for Catholic education transformed Vision of Hope into one of the most innovative funding models of Catholic education today.

It is with gratitude for this transformative and successful history that I begin my tenure as Executive Director of Vision of Hope.

Sister Johnnie and the Dominican Sisters have made Catholic education for the poor a priority. Today, our eight schools continue to serve families who face enormous financial pressures yet desire Catholic education for their children. Through your generosity, Vision of Hope has unlocked the doors of Catholic education for many of these families. We pray that you will continue to be a part of this vision.

Thank you for being a part of our Vision of Hope!

Ann Magovern
Executive Director
