It’s never too early to discover STEM. FIRST LEGO League Jr. is designed to introduce STEM concepts to kids ages 6 to 10 while exciting them through a brand they know and love − LEGO®. Guided by adult coaches and FIRST® Core Values, students build models using LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0 and create Show Me posters to present what they learned. The program focuses on building interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through a real-world challenge – to be solved by research, critical thinking, and imagination.

Students will present their projects during our STEM night during Catholic Schools Week in the Spring.

Lemos Farm Field Trip

On October 23rd, students and families from Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade traveled to Half Moon Bay for a field trip at Lemos Farm. It was a beautiful sunny day with lots of fun, smiles, exploration, and even a pumpkin to bring home!

Software Developers

Students at SAIC are often asked to assist with Software Development. They try out new educational games and provide feedback to the developers!

LEGO Planters

2nd Grade has been studying about plants. They discovered "air plants" that didn't need soil to survive. We made planters out of Lego's and planted some air plants to decorate their classroom.

International dot day

FIRST Tech Challenge

We are eagerly awaiting the challenge to be released Saturday. Our first offical team meeting is Monday, September 9. In the meantime our builders are preparing by building a minibot.

Announcing SAIc's 1:1 iPad Program

All Students in Grades 2-8 are issued their own iPad!

SAIC launched a 1:1 iPad program for Grades 2-8. All of our students will have their own iPads for academic work in school. Grades 1 and 2 are 2:1. The iPad is an effective educational tool that enhances learning for our students.
